Players still perform on stage, but must now also appeal to influential patrons seated in private boxes. Each VIP has distinct tastes and whims, and rewarding their preferences affects reputation and broader influence. Gameplay introduces mechanics for courting these spectators, balancing artistic choices with targeted favors to the elite. The box occupants alter scoring and create new strategic considerations around timing, selection of pieces, and audience management.
