The Cerulean Curtain

A dreamlike theatrical setting for Troika! where trapped gladiators perform violent three-act plays beneath the watch of a demanding Director. The setting includes random tables for plays, props, mishaps, and gladiator creation, along with a hex crawl, point crawl, nine enemies, three theatrical combat skills, four spells, and six backgrounds. Players explore locations such as the Unconscious Pit and the labyrinthine Set Betwixt, battle upon the Scarred Stage, and follow the Director’s visions in pursuit of freedom. The setting also introduces dangers that can permanently strip away parts of a character’s identity.
