Card game of Renaissance Italian families using intrigue, warfare, alliances and patronage to gain political influence and elect a new pope. Players deploy family cardinals, papal offices, strongholds, alliances and artistic connections while competing for leverage across the Papal States. When the conclave begins, elector cardinals vote to determine which family claims the Papacy.
