Treacheries of the Troublesome Towns

Generates a town-as-you-explore for use with Four Against Darkness and Four Against the Abyss. Players create city layouts one building at a time and populate them with named inhabitants, events, factions and hazards as exploration progresses. The system supports political and social play: characters can buy property, marry into families, raise heirs, run for power or lead revolutions, join conspiracies, hunt masterminds, or enforce religious law. Two-volume structure separates procedural rules for town generation from the comprehensive tables, NPC details and secrets needed to resolve encounters.
