Players compete in a three-race meet on a reversible board that supports flat racing or steeplechase with fences. Each player controls a colored horse, a 32-card movement deck, and dice; ten movement cards are used per race and cards played are removed from the game. Each round, all players simultaneously select a card and move in position order, then one player rolls a pair of dice and chooses whether horses move the value of one die or both, again resolving in position order. Inside position, lane-changing, blocking and leader handicaps constrain movement, while joker cards and careful timing let players avoid penalties. Steeplechases add fence-jumping rules that can force horses to pull up or fall if movement ends on a fence. Points are awarded to the first four finishers each race towards the overall total.
