Massive futuristic battles pit vast armies, squadrons of vehicles, titanic war machines and aircraft against one another in theatre-spanning combat. Players organize multiple detachments, field hundreds of infantry, numerous armored units and flying craft, and deploy heroic characters and super-heavy weapons to punch through enemy formations. Gameplay resolves large-scale movement, shooting, assaults and area bombardments, with rules for aircraft strikes and orbital support that affect wide areas of the table. The system emphasizes army composition and combined-arms tactics at an epic tabletop scale rather than small-squad skirmishes.
