Winter War: The Russo-Finnish Conflict

Operational-level simulation of the 1939–1940 conflict between Finland and the Soviet Union. Players maneuver infantry, armor and ski troops on a hex map, manage supply lines to Leningrad for Soviet forces, and contest objective cities while observing Arctic restrictions on heavy Soviet units. Soviet forces begin with superior strength but face supply and terrain limits; Finnish forces enjoy higher mobility, prepared defenses south of the Arctic Circle and exemption from supply in Finland. Victory for the Russians requires capturing objectives; Finns win by holding out for a set number of turns. Includes map, 120 die-cut counters and a concise rules folder, with optional event rules that alter play balance.
