Place stones and columns on a 9 x 9 grid to create scoring patterns. The grid’s repeating colors favor your pieces, your opponent’s pieces, or neither. Patterns on your own colored squares score more, while larger enclosed areas and shapes provide higher values. Opponents can also be forced into negative-scoring patterns.
