Players take the roles of heroes on an island cursed by Elzoof, a sorcerer who prevents anyone from leaving and sends Shadows to hunt them. Equipped with magical rings powered by the Amulet of D’Eugor, they travel across the island, face its dangers, and control events through the rings. The mission is to reach the Tower of Death and defeat Elzoof.
