An Infamous Traffic: Second Edition

In 1833, the East India Company’s trade monopoly in China has ended, opening opportunities for merchants willing to enter the opium trade. Players operate in the shifting political landscape of Qing China, using smugglers to move goods inland and influencing British policy to secure their routes, while unchecked aggression risks destabilizing the region. Profits can be invested in estates, luxuries, marriages, and government positions to gain social standing. Players manage their firms, pursue wealth and influence, and balance commercial expansion against the political consequences of their actions.
