Place 1 player marker on the designated starting space in each of the 5 continent areas. These spaces are color-coded and have the corresponding continent outline beside them (p. 1).

No. Flock Animal does not use a specific enclosure, so it cannot trigger a continent bonus. Reptile House and Large Bird Aviary can trigger one when moving an animal if the required continent symbol matches the building’s area (p. 1).

First, use Digging 1 to either discard and replenish 1 display card or discard 1 card from your hand and draw 1 replacement. If the discarded card is an animal other than a Petting Zoo animal, you may slide it under your zoo map; it counts as being in your zoo and provides its icons, but none of its own effects, costs, or enclosure requirements apply (p. 2).
