Army of Flanders: The War of the Grand Alliance

A grand-strategy wargame covering the War of the Grand Alliance (1688–1697), in which French and Allied forces contest Flanders through campaigns of attrition, sieges, and maneuver. Players act as theatre commanders, deploying battalions and regiments, organizing mobile formations, assigning leaders and auxiliaries, and balancing garrisons against offensive forces. Operations consume points that determine the pace of campaigning, while supply, depots, artillery, sappers, frontage, reserves, supports, and morale shape combat and sieges. French commanders contend with orders from Versailles, while Allied commanders manage conflicting national aims among Dutch, British, Spanish, German, Huguenot, and Liège forces. Prestige is the primary objective, and the game ends when peace is declared.
