Battles with the Gringos, Mexico 1846-62

A collection of four half-map battles from the Mexican-American War and the French intervention in Mexico, each featuring distinctive terrain and different tactical problems. Scenarios include Palo Alto, with mobile artillery and grass fires; Resaca de la Palma, with hidden deployment and a concealed defensive position; Contreras, where scouting and reserves shape the attack; and Puebla, featuring cavalry charges, fortified positions, and trenches. Each battle takes about two hours to play and supports solitaire play. The set includes two double-sided mapsheets, counters, and battle rules. A separate copy of GRINGO is required.
