Specially composed music accompanies a 1933 research expedition from New York to the frozen depths of Antarctica. The explorers uncover the remains of a forgotten Precambrian civilization and awaken a horror buried beneath the ice. Inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s classic horror novel and the Call of Cthulhu role-playing game, the soundtrack uses symphonic film music to portray key characters, events, landscapes, and the expedition’s struggle against nature and unnatural forces. Composed by Andreas Petersen.
