Players resolve scenarios against agents of a spreading darkness by combining, manipulating, and placing dice to perform actions, equipping gear and allocating resources to handle encounters and tasks. Each chapter stands alone or links into a campaign where character choices alter the world state between sessions; the legacy-like changes affect future plays but require no permanent destruction and can be reset at any time.
