Canine Companions #1: Gallic War Hound

A trained Gallic war hound fills the defender role in a fantasy adventuring party when a player is absent or no one chooses a defensive character. It can join the group for a few sessions or remain as a permanent non-player companion. The hound supports the party in combat but does not take a central role in story scenes, role-playing, or skill challenges, and does not require a share of treasure or magic items.
