Deadlands: Doomtown

Deadlands: Doomtown is a board game for 2–6 players. It plays in 45 minutes and is meant for ages 10 and up. Ludoya players call it best with 2.

Players control rival outfits vying for influence and control of a frontier boomtown in a Weird West setting. Gameplay alternates through an abstract day: a Lowball gambling phase determines initiative, an upkeep phase collects income and resolves upkeep costs, a High Noon phase handles actions such as moving, recruiting, shopping, trading and initiating conflicts, and a Nightfall phase resets cards and discards daily events. Conflict resolution uses a poker-based mechanic that compares hands rather than simple combat rolls, and the town is developed on the table through Deed cards that represent locations players contest and exploit to gain victory and control points.
