Desert Duel: First Alamein

A two-player operational wargame covering the First Battle of Alamein from July 1 to July 27, 1942, as Axis and Allied forces fight across the desert for access to the Nile. Each turn represents three days of combat, while each hex covers roughly four miles. Players maneuver units, manage supply, use leaders and air support, conduct reconnaissance, and contend with weather, minefields, and a special 88mm flak unit. Combat uses a ratio-based results table and a low-density counter mix, reflecting the fluid nature of early desert warfare.
