Drop Zone: Southern France

The Allied airborne assault in Southern France, August 1944, during Operation RUGBY, the opening of Operation DRAGOON. Players command company-sized American and British paratroopers, glider troops, French Resistance bands, German infantry, and limited armor across the Argens and Naturby river valleys. Scattered by dense fog, Allied forces seize towns, roads, and bridges while German reinforcements arrive unpredictably. A chit-pull activation system and concealed unit strengths create uncertainty as both sides receive reinforcements and fire support over six turns covering the first two days of the operation. Supports two to four players or solitaire play as the Allies.
