Dungeons & Dragons Starter Set

A boxed introduction to tabletop fantasy roleplaying for 1–5 players that includes rules for creating heroes, a guide for running the game, and both solo and group adventures. Players choose from several races (dwarf, elf, halfling, human) and classes (cleric, fighter, rogue, wizard) and use class- and race-specific powers during play. Mechanical components include player and Dungeon Master books, character sheets, power cards, a sheet of die-cut tokens, a double-sided dungeon map, and polyhedral dice. Sessions focus on exploration, tactical combat, and roleplaying as the Dungeon Master directs the story and adjudicates rules.
