Everdell Farshore

Explore a rugged coastal region, recruit a crew of critter workers, and develop a riverside city while preparing to sail the open sea. Play proceeds through seasons as players collect resources, draft and play cards representing buildings and characters, and assign workers to actions on a shared board. Sailing and exploration form a new mechanic: players outfit ships, gather seastones and other maritime goods, and voyage to islands to gain rewards and opportunities. Careful planning and timing matter, since actions and weather-driven events change each round and influence construction, voyages, and scoring.

Regelvragen

Beantwoord vanuit het spelregelboek door de regelassistent van Ludoya.

Can I place more than one worker on the Docks or the Lookout (even more than one of my own)?

Yes — both the Docks and the Lookout allow any number of workers, including multiple from the same player, and you resolve the location's effect when you place a worker there. (p. 6)

How do Anchors let me play Critters for free, and do I get Anchors back if that Critter/card is discarded later?

You may play a Critter for free by placing one of your Anchors onto an available Construction in your city that matches the Critter's color (max one Anchor per Construction), and Anchors are not returned if that card is later discarded — you only have three Anchors total. (p. 7)

If I play a card that matches a Windrose tile, how far does my Ship move and do I get Treasure when it moves?

When you play a card matching a Windrose tile, move your Ship forward to the next space for each matching tile (two spaces if it matches both), and any time you land on or pass a space showing a Treasure Chest you take one Treasure token regardless of what caused the movement. Note that some Windrose-triggered abilities only trigger from Windrose movement caused by playing cards. (pp. 7, 9)

Can I draw past the hand limit or use the Bay to draw whenever I want?

No — there is a strict hand limit of 8 cards and you may never draw beyond it; you also normally draw from the deck unless an ability specifically allows drawing from the Bay (the Lookout explicitly lets you discard to draw from the deck and/or the Bay). (pp. 8, 6)

How do Map tiles (Dunes) work — can I take duplicates and how are they scored?

To claim a Map at the Dunes you must already have the required card types in your city and you take the top Map from that stack; you may only have one tile of each Map type, and Maps score by multiplying each Map tile's listed value (2/1/0) by the total number of Map tiles you possess (examples shown). (pp. 6, 7)

Do all players Prepare for Season at the same time, and what happens if I'm the last to prepare?

Players prepare for season only when they choose that action — you do not all prepare simultaneously — and the last player to prepare for spring, summer, or autumn performs the Winds of Change effect (and for summer also the High Tide effect). (p. 10)
