Gloom in Space

Players assemble a crew of sci-fi archetypes and steer them through a series of bleak, darkly comic misadventures in space. Gameplay centers on playing transparent modifier cards to increase each character’s misery, triggering Untimely Deaths, and manipulating the timing of events to ensure opponents’ crews suffer worse fates. Events include encounters with hostile relatives, hazardous alien artefacts, crushing compartment failures, and catastrophic orbital strikes. The game plays as a standalone card-driven storytelling engine and is compatible with other games and expansions in the same series.
