Guide to Playable Characters

A character-creation guide for a vampire roleplaying campaign, designed for both new and experienced players. It presents simple, flexible methods for defining character traits, establishing a character’s purpose with the group and Storyteller, and developing meaningful concepts for the thirteen major clans. The guide also explores backgrounds, core discipline concepts, and respectful approaches to identities, mental illnesses, and other forms of diversity, helping players avoid caricatures and fetishization while engaging with the setting’s oppressive society.
