A fantasy setting covering the frostbitten Wild North, the Southlands frontier, conquered Vasa, and the duchy of Northport. Ancient ruins, forgotten magic, and rival factions fill regions including the Ring Islands, Forsaken Desert, Great Glacier, Black Marshes, and the underwater Grey Sea. Players explore a living world through their characters, traveling between settlements, investigating ruins, facing encounters, and influencing the factions and histories of the Northern Marches. The setting includes four numbered-hex regional maps, town and city maps, a guidebook, reference documents, and layered digital map files.
