Players collect five ingredients to assemble a paella that soothes a vengeful Fallera Calavera, while an unpredictable mood can accept or reject certain additions. The expansion adds new ingredient cards — shrimp, a spy mussel and chorizo — along with situational effects that can grant benefits or impose penalties; chorizo is always rejected and prevents any player holding it from winning. Gameplay uses the new cards and a coin flip to resolve some interactions, introducing more variability to ingredient checks and player decisions without changing the core set-collection and turn-based actions of the base game.
