Lairs

Two players alternately construct and explore a hidden labyrinth in a head-to-head contest of construction and deduction. Each player builds a dungeon from tiles and places walls, traps, monsters, and treasures to challenge their opponent, then sends the rival adventurer in to probe the layout. During exploration, players reveal rooms, manage encounters, use skills and items, and try to map an efficient route while avoiding hazards and collecting valuables. Play focuses on tactical tile placement, memory and inference about unseen paths, and risk-reward choices when pursuing treasures. Games take about 35 minutes and are aimed at ages 10 and up.
