Light of the Sun

Set in the aftermath of the Italian Renaissance, the game explores a conflict between emerging scientific discoveries and the authority of the Church. Scientists, mages, and astronomers face arrest and censorship as the Inquisition suppresses heliocentric ideas and bans their books. To protect their laboratories and universities, intellectuals turn to alchemy and magic to create artificial beings known as deviants. As these creations develop minds and wills of their own, their makers must decide whether to resist through violence or seek another way to challenge the Church’s power. Requires the Deviant: The Renegades, Mage: The Awakening Second Edition, and Demon: The Descent rulebooks.
