This expansion explores the Scouring of the Shire, when Saruman’s forces invade the Hobbits’ peaceful homeland. It includes a history of the Shire, a timeline of key events, and 16 Narrative Play scenarios with objectives, board layouts, and special rules. The book provides army lists and tactics for The Shire and Sharkey’s Rogues, along with two Legendary Legion lists: Defenders of the Shire and The Chief’s Ruffians. It also introduces rules for traps, guidance for building Hobbit-hole villages, and three additional scenarios depicting historical battles.
