Players each start with three lives and receive a single animal card each round. Play proceeds counterclockwise from the player to the dealer's right, who looks at their card and either stands or initiates a trade with the player to their right. Trades are resolved immediately unless the receiving player holds the special highest-value card, which blocks the swap. The dealer may not trade but can choose to stand or draw the top card from the deck instead. After everyone has acted, all cards are revealed and the player or players with the lowest-value animal lose a life. Rounds repeat until only one player remains with lives.
