Mystic Vale

Players lead druidic clans working to cleanse a cursed valley by restoring nature and rescuing spirits. Each turn, players play and upgrade cards in a personal tableau using a card-crafting system that adds transparent enhancements to individual cards, tailoring abilities and strategies as the game progresses. Actions generate power, vale cards, and advancements but also risk decay that can prematurely end a turn if too much power is wielded carelessly. The player with the most victory points from cleansed land and developed cards wins.

I had lots of dobuts with this one but I finnaly enjoyed it very very much. Delightful art, blasting mechanic and funny push your luck system. No interaction, but I think it's a great game as gateway. A great new deckbuiliding experience!

Regelvragen

Beantwoord vanuit het spelregelboek door de regelassistent van Ludoya.

What's the difference between 'pass' and 'push' during the Planting Phase — when do I stop placing cards?

If you pass you immediately skip to your Harvest Phase; if you push you place your on‑deck card into your field, resolve its "When Played" abilities, reveal a new on‑deck card, then repeat until you either choose to pass or you Spoil (page 8).

What makes me Spoil, and do growth (green) symbols cancel decay (red)?

You Spoil immediately if you have 4 or more decay (red) symbols revealed during your Planting Phase or Prep Phase (counting field and on‑deck); each growth (green) symbol cancels one decay (red) (page 9), and Prep Phase placement can also force an automatic Spoil if it creates three or more red showing (page 13).

Does my on‑deck card count for Harvest, buying, or using abilities?

Your on‑deck card is not considered in your field or deck for most effects: "When Played" and "Harvest" abilities cannot be used while a card is on‑deck, and you only count the on‑deck card's red and green symbols (other symbols don't count) — ongoing abilities still work (page 14).

How do I pay for vale cards and advancements — what about wild spirit symbols and the mana token?

You pay vale costs with spirit symbols shown on cards in your field (not your on‑deck card); wild spirit symbols may be used as any spirit, and a green (leaf) cost may be paid with any spirit (page 10), while the blue mana token may be spent during your Harvest Phase for +1 mana by turning it to the spent side (page 10 and page 14).

When do I sleeve advancements and can I sleeve them on my on‑deck card?

You must sleeve each advancement you bought during your Discard Phase by choosing a card in your field (you may not choose your on‑deck card), and advancements do not become active until they are sleeved (pages 12 and 10).
