Napoleon at Bay: The Campaign in France, 1814

A two-player, division-level simulation of the 1814 French campaign, pitting Napoleon’s forces against the combined Russian, Prussian and Austrian armies. Players maneuver division counters on a hex map scaled to 3,200 meters per hex and resolve combats and movement in two-day turns. The game emphasizes use of interior lines and rapid, concentrated attacks on isolated enemy forces. It uses the CAMPAIGNS System with about 260 counters representing units and formations, and plays as a operational-level campaign where timing, line of march and local superiority determine success.
