NIP'AJIN

A lightweight roleplaying system for one-shot adventures, supporting settings from everyday action to spells and super powers. Character creation centers on a brief account of the character’s past, which can provide modifiers when resolving tasks. Each character has a pool of five dice, from d4 to d12, and chooses one as a resistance die. Players select and roll dice from the action pool against difficulty numbers; spent dice return only after the pool is exhausted. Conflicts use separate action and reaction dice, with initiative determined by the action die and wounds tracked against the resistance die. Characters who empty their pool must spend a round recovering. The system has no formal experience rules for extended campaigns.
