Presents historical background and new scenarios focused on political and irregular formations that fought on the Eastern Front, including Soviet NKVD and German Waffen-SS units, plus several foreign SS battalions. Adds new unit types and equipment—heavy mortars, captured and foreign tanks, flamethrower conversions, light half-tracks and fast personnel carriers—and adjusts unit quality to reflect differences in training and recruitment. Requires the core Eastern Front game for most scenarios and can use Afrika Korps or Desert Rats to play the full set. Includes background articles that place scenarios in the larger context of the war in Russia.
