Paths to Hell: Operation Barbarossa, June – December 1941

A tactical game covering the opening months of Operation Barbarossa on the Eastern Front, with scenarios depicting clashes between German, Soviet, and allied forces. Players command infantry, tanks, artillery, aircraft, and specialized units in battles at platoon scale. The system uses simultaneous execution: players activate officers to move, fire, assault, coordinate units, and request artillery, air support, or smoke. Turns represent roughly 12–15 minutes and end when both sides complete their activations. Isomorphic mapboards combine in different configurations, while rules cover reconnaissance, human-wave attacks, commissars, flamethrower tanks, railroads, gullies, and other front-specific features. Scenarios support competitive or solitaire play.
