Primal: The Awakening – Woltyar and Frozen Wastes

Two extreme biomes introduce environmental hazards and changing rules to each battle. A double-sided neoprene mat represents volcanic slopes on one side and frozen northern wastes on the other, affecting movement and card play. In the volcanic side, rising temperatures force players to discard an increasing number of cards from the top of their decks as the encounter progresses, and lava flows create dangerous movement zones that can cause burning. In the frozen side, mastery cards lose their effects at specified rounds and become permanently blank from round eight onward, reducing precision and altering available tactics.
