Players take on the roles of Alter users in the Lost Ground, a post-apocalyptic region separated from mainland Japan after a major upheaval. Alter users draw energy from the Other Side to reshape matter into dangerous personal manifestations, while the police forces HOLY and HOLD attempt to control the civilized areas. Characters navigate conflicts between native Alter users, government agents, and the unstable powers supporting the region as their actions threaten to disrupt the existing order.
