Sergeants!: In the Sand

This game recreates small-scale World War II infantry skirmishes between British and Italian forces in the deserts of North Africa. Players command opposing groups of soldiers led by sergeants and other noncommissioned officers, managing individual troops, weapons, positions, terrain, and survival in man-to-man combat. The introductory rules focus on immediate tactical decisions without excessive detail. The game includes a mapboard, die-cut playing pieces, dice, rules, charts, and the “Waterhole” scenario, and can be played independently or combined with first-edition games in the system.
