Shadow Throne

In the Aclysmian Empire, a civil war divides the kingdom and royal family. King Kyros holds on to power, Queen Eleftheria leads a rebellion of conquered peoples, and Princess Beatus fights alongside the church. Players belong to a secret society seeking influence by supporting whichever faction ultimately prevails. The game is played over a series of battles. Players draft character cards, then simultaneously play cards to determine which faction has the most power. Alliances can change from battle to battle, as cards from any faction may be played. Players who support the winning faction gain influence, and the game ends when one player collects enough.
