Shadows of a Dying World

A roleplaying supplement set on a dying Mars as imagined in the early 20th century, where ancient city-states line vast canals, airships cross the thin atmosphere, and swordsmen, nobles, and princesses face dangers from dried-up sea beds. Martian technology and mental abilities endure as engineers struggle to preserve the planet’s dwindling air and water. The book presents OGL-compatible rules for creatures including green Martians, banths, thoats, great white apes, plant men, and other inhabitants of Burroughs’ Mars. It also includes guidance for using them in Mars or other campaign settings, random encounter tables, new feats, the Class Defense Bonus combat option, and a 52-page creature-creation resource for game masters.
