This role-playing adventure takes the characters into the southern forests of Alba, where they join a road-building effort to enter the wilderness without arousing suspicion. Beneath the ancient trees, they encounter hostile elves, unnatural animals, and other signs that old legends are becoming reality. The characters become involved in a conflict between mythical peoples and factions, choosing how far to intervene and which side to support. Along the way, they may uncover clues about the death of Alba’s last king. The adventure is intended for characters of mid-level experience and draws on Alba’s legends, Scottish-Norman culture, creatures, and feuds.
