A story-driven journey set on a fixed map of medieval France with pre-printed terrain. Players place tiles in predetermined spaces, compete for area control, and pursue secret objectives as asymmetric characters with unique abilities and backstories. Royal Decrees introduce event cards that alter the game through effects such as tax breaks, plagues, and scoring changes. At the start of each turn, a mysterious rider moves across the map, returning any meeples he passes to their owners’ hands. Areas visited by the rider cannot score at the end of the game.
