The Bleak Holdfast of the Heartless Queen

A snowbound castle rises above the treeline, where the Heartless Queen rules from a craggy stronghold guarded by Frost Wyrms, Ice Harpies, and a Frozen Thing at the bridge. Adventurers enter the holdfast in search of treasure, driven by courage, pride, vengeance, or tales brought from warmer lands. This adventure location for Old-School Essentials presents a dangerous site for five or six characters of 3rd level, or a smaller group of 4th-level characters. Exploration, encounters, and overcoming the castle’s defenses lead into the Queen’s domain.
