Set in the Akkadian Empire between the Idigna and Buranum rivers, this roleplaying game presents a mythic Mesopotamia ruled by Sargon the Alchemist, where freedom is absent, deserts stretch across the land, and strange gods have replaced the ancient deities. It adapts a sword-and-sorcery setting to dungeon-crawling rules, with new classes and character options. The included adventure takes place in Mari, a city-state of diviners and decadent nobles. The characters help a beggar who claims to have been framed in a conspiracy, navigating prophecies, assassinations, ritual magic, and shifting alliances as they attempt to restore his position and recover his possessions.
