Three Faces of the Muse

A Renaissance-era adventure for four to five 7th-level characters. When a renowned artisan dies in a construction accident while completing a cathedral dedicated to the goddess of beauty, art, love, and music, the high priest calls on the goddess to restore the master’s soul. The blessing is granted, but the soul remains trapped in the Beyond. The characters investigate the artist’s works, scattered throughout the cathedral grounds, interpreting clues left by the composer, sculptor, architect, and painter. Encounters test artistic skills, musical ability, and combat prowess as the party works to free the soul and complete the cathedral. The adventure includes a new magic item, a recurring villain who can transcend death, and guidance for scaling encounters for larger groups.
