Top Ten Games You Can Play In Your Head By Yourself

A collection of ten single-player role-playing games played entirely in the imagination, with no board, dice, writing materials, or other equipment. Each game begins with questions that define the character, setting, motivations, and goals, then introduces non-player characters and possible complications. From adventures and space travel to mysteries, work, chess, and other lives, each scenario provides a framework before leaving the story to the player’s imagination. A connected meta-game allows significant items from the different scenarios to be carried into a shared shadow world.
