Vikings: Nordic Roleplaying for RuneQuest

This roleplaying game explores Viking-age Scandinavia through historical records, literary interpretations, and optional fantasy elements. Players portray younger sons seeking land, fame, and wealth as they raid, settle, and travel from the Mediterranean to Vinland. The setting can use the historical Viking Period of approximately 780–1070 AD or a legendary era around 500–575 AD, when gods walked among mortals, monsters roamed the earth, and Scandinavian knowledge of the wider world was limited. Anachronistic details and further fantasy elements can be included at the game master's discretion.
