War of the Ring: The Card Game – Against the Shadow

Players control the Free Peoples, guiding characters and armies through a card-driven adaptation of the Ring’s struggle. The expansion enables solo or cooperative play by replacing the core set’s Shadow cards with new automated Shadow decks that act according to a simple flowchart. Players play their normal Free Peoples decks, manage events and actions, and coordinate to advance the Fellowship and military objectives while the automated Shadow reacts and pressures them. The new Shadow decks are designed to provide a tailored challenge for one or two players, simulating the enemy’s strategic choices without a live opponent.
