Wraith: The Oblivion (2nd Edition)

Players take the roles of recently dead souls trapped between life and the Afterlife, struggling with unfinished emotions, personal obsessions, and the pull of oblivion. Play centers on collaborative storytelling: players define characters’ passions and fetters, manage a two-sided psyche of will and self, and confront both internal spectres and external antagonists called Spectres and the Tempers. Scenes resolve through dice pools and story-based consequences as characters pursue goals, resist their Shadow, and negotiate with otherworldly powers. The game emphasizes mood, moral conflict, and long-term character decline as players explore themes of attachment, loss, and the choice to hold on or let go.
