Zaibatsu: Roleplaying the Corporate Wars of the Future

A cyberpunk roleplaying game set in a 23rd-century Tokyo dominated by powerful Japanese corporations. Players portray expendable street operatives recruited from the criminal underworld to conduct illegal missions for corporate executives, balancing boardroom interests with urban violence and survival. Characters are created quickly from 16 concepts and advance through promotions, gaining skills, money, and status. Fast combat rules support intense firefights, while hacking uses a deck of playing cards to resolve cyberspace infiltrations. The game includes retrogenic biotechnology, extensive technology and city detail, maps and plans, and six linked missions.
