Players draft a hand of fairy-tale creature cards over a series of passes, then play tricks and score points across three distinct phases. Phase one has each player repeatedly pick one card from an eight-card hand and pass the remainder clockwise until all cards are drafted. In phase two players play one card each into tricks; highest card wins the trick and scores two points while card “skills” and pairings can award additional points. In the final phase players evaluate the skills remaining in their chosen hand to gain further scoring. Strategic drafting and forming complementary card combos affect trick-taking power and endgame scoring.

beqs the 1st4,0 A nice idea, should be fun for casuals but has some big flaws. The 7Wonders Card drafting is nice. The tricktaking round feels weird since the game doesnt have any suits and people can just throw what ever they want to. The last round works fine - you score your drafted set from round 1. Imo more cards should be in play to make the game a little more calculated - only ~50% (depends on player count) of the cards are used per round which totally annihaltes the use of some cards that require one specific card to score.
Flink8,0 Cool drafting. Easy and quick game with just the right amount of crunchiness. Love the art.
Regelspørsmål
Besvart fra regelboka av Ludoyas regelassistent.
In a two‑player game, how do the ghost decks and ghost turns work?
You build and shuffle the ghost decks during setup and place ghost hands in the ghost player positions; ghosts are played on their turns just like real players and follow the same trick rules (pp.11–14).
When I win a trick, do I take the card reward as well as the star?
Yes — when you win a trick you take the star for winning and you also take the card reward shown on the trick (p.18).
Does the Snow Queen stop players from earning hearts or gems in a trick?
Yes — the Snow Queen prevents players from earning hearts or crystals (gems) in that trick (p.19).
Does the Shapeshifter count as every character type for ‘for each’ effects?
Yes — the Shapeshifter counts as every character type and is counted accordingly for ‘for each’ and relevant counting rules (p.16).
How do gems score and how is the most‑gems bonus awarded at the end?
Gems score as listed in the end‑of‑chapter scoring and there is a most‑gems bonus awarded (the Greedy Dwarf/most‑gems rule); see the end‑of‑chapter scoring and the Greedy Dwarf explanation (pp.10, 21, 24).
When do card abilities trigger and how are trick abilities resolved?
When a trick is played you reveal cards and resolve card abilities in the order specified by the turn/trick rules, then determine the trick winner and distribute rewards — follow the turn order and ability resolution steps (p.6).
